Nordenholz

Nordenholz Distributing Company, Ltd. was established in New York in 1930 by Gustav P. Nordenholz.  The company specializes in the highest quality parts and accessories for orchestral string instruments sourced from around the world.  Nordenholz has been a leader in the orchestral string industry for over 75 years.

In 2001 Nordenholz was purchased by the Connolly Companies located in East Northport, New York.  Founded in 1969, Connolly is a master distributor of the finest European products for string instruments, including Thomastik-Infeld stings, Konig & Meyer stands, Teller bridges and Junger strings.

Challenge

Nordenholz is a traditional company, dominant in their industry, and well known for specific products. A large number of their customers are craftsmen who are loyal to Nordenholz because of their longstanding position within the industry.

Since the core of their business was long standing customer relationships and traditional in nature, they had no on-line presence. Nordenholz wanted to expand their reach within the industry, attract new customers and broaden their market’s knowledge of their product base while emphasizing their desire to maintain their long-standing, traditional corporate image.

Solution

Crossbow Media collaboratively created an online rendition of the Nordenholz corporate image that is reflective of Nordenholz’s tradition and history in the music industry. Crossbow Media provided Nordenholz with a platform that accommodates their future desire to deploy a B-to-B platform for their retail partners. The entire implementation was completed within 60 days.
